Unlike the super tailored and structured styles of his peers, YSL’s take on jackets was much softer and casual. This preference not only made Saint Laurent’s garments easy to wear and but also allowed for his collections to have unique, memorable silhouettes. This 1990s jacket is constructed in a pure black, lustrous velvet. A soft drape produces a slightly flared silhouette as the rounded shoulders transition into small bishop sleeves. Around the centre front opening the jacket is bordered with black satin that creates a built-up collar that carries down and accents the rounded him. Matching satin borders the sleeve cuffs. A subtle detail, this velvet jacket is decorated with radial vertical stitching throughout. Two almost invisible welt pockets on the front make this jacket comfy and classy that could add a vintage touch to a cocktail or daytime look.<\/p>\n
