From the maison’s spring\/summer 1993 pret-a-porter collection, it made its debut during a runway finale that had to have been among the highlights of Paris Fashion Week that season. A parade of models took to the catwalk in variations of the highly embellished cropped-top silhouette, each pairing the look with a striking gold lamé wrap skirt, slicked-back hair and gorgeous statement earrings.
