Vintage Design
This tall sideboards or “highboards” No. UM14 was made by designer Johannes Andersen for Uldum Møbelfabrik. Typical for Johannes Andersen details include the sculpted solid teak base and solid teak hand carved handles with “fins” that seem to flow out of the doors and drawers.
On the top, the outer sliding doors open to reveal adjustable shelving. The center left section houses a fabulous mirrored bar area, complete with a slide-out shelf for mixing drinks. The center right features 2 newly “flocked” felt-lined shallow drawers with exposed finger-jointed corners, and an adjustable shelf.
Bottom half of the cabinet has six drawers, of which four are shallow and two are deep. All drawer internals are made of solid hard wood and very robust with newly “flocked” felt lining.
In very good condition with only few signs of age related wear.
