Vintage Design
It is one of Dimitri Omersa’s coveted seating objects, in this case in the shape of a rhinoceros. Omersa (1927 – 1985) not only made impressive craftsmanship, but above all also attractive, decorative leather animals – which were initially only sold by the British department store Liberty. Later also by the American company Abercrombie & Fitch, until the 1980s. This model was designed in the 1960s and later executed, probably in the 1970s. Omersa has designed and manufactured a selection of 50 different animals – in different sizes. Dimensions approx. Height 35 cm – 13.78 in, Depth approx. 23 cm – 9.06 in, Width 66 cm – 25.98 in, Seat height 34 cm – 13.39 in. Good condition with wonderful patina.
