Prada is unapologetic about her vision. Whether it be big or small, Prada always wants her runways to be about the fashion first. The Spring 2007 collection graced the runway with simple lines and bold colors but the accessories of the show made a buzz. Each look was paired with a coordinating headwrap or hat. From that collection, this turban is made from a rich magenta silk satin. It is pleated in a shell-like spiral pattern at the front to give the impression of a traditionally wrapped turban. The conical shape of this headpiece gives it quite a bit of height when worn right at the forehead but it can easily be styled to sit further back on the hairline. This turban can be seen as look #7 from that season’s runway and on Ulyana Sergeenko in various colors.
Measurements:
Circumference: 22 inches
On the back, the turban has a strip of elastic that helps secure it. Fully lined, this turban is in excellent condition with some light wear to the back elastic. High-quality vintage pieces like this are yours to live in and love while increasing in value every year. It’s never too soon to start collecting them, as an investment in your wardrobe—and in yourself.
