Mid-Century Modern Wall Unit Ergo attributed to John Texmon, Norway, 1960s

This functional and elegant wall unit is a true example of Scandinavian mid-century design at its best. It is an entirely modular shelving and storage system called “Ergo de lux” which was designed by John Texmon for Blindheim Mobelfabrikk and made in Norway in the 1960s. 
The bookcase features four cabinets with sliding doors, including two with functional drawers, one vitrine with charming diamond-shaped pattern glass, and seven shelves of different appearances. This arrangement provides ample storage and display space while remaining extremely elegant 
Characterized by gentle, clean lines, slightly curved edges, with the addition of modularity, ease of montage, and nicely sculpted legs, the wall unit showcases Texmon’s ability to create furniture that combines aesthetic appeal with functionality and ergonomics seamlessly. 
The bookcase’s design allows you to adjust each component according to your own needs. The shelves and cabinets can be moved lower, higher or interchanged and the presented arrangement is just an example.

The wall unit has been checked by our team. It is in fantastic condition. “Made in Norway” stamp preserved on the back confirms the authenticity of the piece. All doors and montage mechanisms work properly and smoothly. The wood has been rejuvenated with Danish Oil.
