This late-1980s Chloé trench coat is done in a beautiful Bordeaux waterproof gabardine. The coat has softly sloping shoulders that fall into a gently flounced cape ending at waist level. The cape features large triangular lapels that form a modest V-neckline contrasting the smooth curves of the silhouette. From the waist, the A-line skirt falls to calf level with moderate fullness at the hem. The gentle folds and flounces of this coat highlight the luster of the fabric giving it an extra design dimension.
