Rare small table called bistro made of a circular bakelite tray stamped Rex and a cast iron base bearing the logo of the house Louis Vuitton Paris.
A French luxury leather goods company since 1851, Louis Vuitton partnered with the Rex company to produce quality pedestal tables in limited quantities in the 1930s.
The round bakelite top in a deep, shaded red is supported by a cast iron shaft with a triangular cross section.
Three wide stepped legs bring a definite art deco style to this unique table.
