Vintage Design
A fantastic set of ten antique shield back dining chairs. They were made in England, and date from around the 1950’s.
The quality is outstanding, the pierced shield backs have wheatsheaf carving, they have serpentine shaped front edges to the seats. The bases are stretchered for extra support, with tapered and grooved legs terminating in spade feet. The frames are all solid, with a lovely colour tone and patina.
We have had them revived and re-polished, the drop in seats have been newly upholstered in a cream cotton fabric. All the chairs are strong and sturdy, the condition is excellent throughout.
