Vintage Design
If you like Gothic Revival furniture, you will definitely like this quality carved chest. This magnificent, practical size example features very attractive, deeply carved Gothic stained glass window-like panels and folded paper carvings on the sides.
Entirely handcrafted from solid oak, this chest is a remarkable example of Gothic craftsmanship. Originally designed as a blanket chest, it can now be used in many ways, for example at the foot of a bed, in a large entrance area or on a landing.
Although it does not date from the 16th century, this antique Gothic style chest from the early 20th century was made in the traditional manner using wooden pegs and holes. The hinges on the lid are attached so that it can be opened even when close to the wall. This chest is in excellent condition and has a wonderful patina.
