Swedish Modern floor lamp by unknown maker and designer. Made in Sweden ca 1940s. Fluted brass stem with two adjustable arms with custom brass hardware. Base made from Swedish “Kolmårdsmarmor”, a marble specific for the area around Kolmården in Sweden. The base stand son three round feet of beech wood. Two new lamp shades. Italian floor lamp duna designed by marco colombo & mario barbaglia for paf studio and for italiana luce in 1984. This version is from the first series with the dimmer control on the reflector. The lamp is made of metal, painted partly black, partly gray. The shade can be tilted and rotated 360 degrees (see photos), and the height is also adjustable. It offers beautiful direct light for reading and indirect light on the wall or ceiling. The hood contains a halogen lamp of 220v/300w that can be dimmed. The height of the lamp is adjustable from 135 – 192 cm. The dimensions of the shade are l x w x d = 37 x 17 cm x 1.5 cm and the diameter of the base is 32 cm. The wiring has been checked by an electrician. Slight signs of wear due to age and use.

Such a classic vintage floor lamp that features a milk glass shade within a metal tole shade. The metal shade rest on the glass shade. It also features a table with a metal mesh balcony. This exact lamp is featured in the vintage Mary Tyler Moore show, as part of her studio apartment design. It’s remained in near perfect condition, so when I saw it in a West Hollywood vintage store, I had to buy it. The tole shade is 14″ in diameter.
