Morgaes Wingback Chair attributed Tom Dickson

Spectacular armchair, with large wingback back, in the style of Tom Dixon. Although not marked, the design of this very special armchair is very close to the well-known specimens of top designer Tom Dixon. It is therefore quite possible that we are dealing with an original copy of this contemporary design classic! The Wingback armchair by Tom Dixon was inspired by the traditional 17th century balloon-like furniture in British clubs. Out of six different prototypes, the Wingback eventually emerged as the winner and was launched in 2007. In 2015, the chair was modified to further ensure its sublime comfort and enhance its particularly striking silhouette. The specimen on offer was presumably executed after the first design. The wings of the armchair offer pleasant acoustic protection and a certain form of security so that one can really shut oneself off from the outside world for a while. The black fabric feels very soft and is still very clean, the traces of use are expressed in a few impact marks on the front legs, caused by the housekeeping of the hotel where this chair has stood for the first part of its life. A true modern design classic and an armchair for those who dare to choose something different!
