Vintage Design
Chair No. 16 (also called “Sweetheart” chair) was designed in the mid-19th century by Michael Thonet, the founder of Thonet. This set of chairs was produced in Romania in the 70’s and are marked “Romania”. Wood and rattan are in good condition. Rattan seats have been replaced by new (handwoven) ones.
Two of the seats are slightly different: the same model, but without the 2 bolts on the back of the backrest. See the pictures.
